About the course

This course examines the critical relationship between labour regulations and human rights in the workplace. Participants will explore key laws, policies, and international standards that govern workers' rights, ensuring fair and ethical employment practices. Through case studies and real-world examples, the course will highlight issues such as discrimination, harassment, child labor, and forced labor. By the end of the course, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of labour laws, their impact on employment equity, and the roles of governments, employers, and trade unions in upholding these regulations.

Family Services of Peel

To ensure the highest standards of care for our clients and community, we have experienced, qualified, and skilled professionals who work from a person centred anti-oppression, anti-racism framework. The Peel Institute of Research and Training is the research arm of Family Services of Peel and was established as a collaborative initiative focusing on the prevention of all forms of violence in Peel. The Institute operates from a data-driven, evidence-informed, impact evaluation model. It includes the combined perspectives of the diverse population of Peel, clients, survivors, service providers, community agencies, and academia.
